Mark VanNorden D.O., completed his pre-medical education at Wichita State University and received his Medical Degree from Des Moines University-College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. VanNorden completed his residency at Via Christi Family Medicine in Wichita Kansas.

Todd Brown

Dr. Todd Brown is a general surgeon that comes to Great Bend from the Wichita, KS area. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. Dr. Brown was very active in sports and quickly developed a love for the great outdoors. He spent many summers on his grandfathers farm near Lyons, Kansas. Through this experience, Dr. Brown developed an interest in biology, which led him to major in Biology at Pittsburgh State University. His interest in molecular genetics led to a research fellowship at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York run by James Watson, who along with Francis Crick, discovered DNA. From there Dr. Brown entered medical school at the University of Kansas, graduating in 1990. During his five years of surgical residency training, Dr. Brown developed a special interest in laparoendoscopic surgery and had the opportunity to receive additional training at the Ethicon Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. During his residency, he was awarded the Olive Ann Beech award for excellence in surgery and finished his training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita in 1995. Since that time, Dr Brown has been in private practice, specializing in general and laparoendoscopic  surgery and is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Our office is located on the second floor of Great Bend Regional Hospital. A designated entrance is available on the northeast corner of the hospital. From there, you can use the elevator to access our clinic lobby.
