Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Jodi Henrikson earned his undergraduate degree in zoology from North Dakota State University. He then graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences, receiving his Medical Doctorate Degree in 2000.

After medical school, Dr. Henrikson completed a four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. During those four years, more than 12,000 babies were delivered at Akron General. Dr. Henrikson personally delivered more than 800 babies and supervised labor and delivery of thousands more. He performed thousands of gynecologic surgeries, including hundreds of hysterectomies and hundreds of laparoscopies.

  Dr. Henrikson earned the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He also was recognized with the Best Overall Resident CREOG Score Award for the annual written exam given to all OB-GYN residents during his second, third, and fourth years of residency. In addition, he received the Employee Satisfaction Award, and passed his written exam to become board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Stan Hatesohl specializes in family medicine and is a physician with Central Kansas Family Practice.  Dr. Hatesohl is from Linn in North Central Kansas.  He completed his undergraduate degree and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in 1980.  In 1984 he graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita Branch.  He completed his residency training in family medicine at Baptist Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.  Dr. Hatesohl practiced medicine in Clay Center, Ks for 22 years and 3 years at the VA in Topeka,Ks prior to moving to Great Bend in 2012 with his wife, Ann.  They have five grown children and two grandsons.  Dr. Hatesohl and Ann enjoy living in Great Bend and are active in the community.

Dr. Teri Turkle-Huslig specializes in Family Practice at Central Kansas Family Practice in Great Bend. Dr. Turkle completed her pre-medical education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. After graduating from medical school, she completed an internship and residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Turkle has an active life in Great Bend with her husband Dr. Mark Huslig and their 4 children.

Jonathan Pike, MD is the most recent physician to join UKHS - Great Bend Campus, and he specializes in Family Medicine. He returns to his hometown after completing his residency training at Via Christi Family Medicine in Wichita, KS. Prior to that he received his A.S. in general studies from Barton County Community College, his B.S in biology from Kansas State University, and his Doctor of Medicine from University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita. As a family physician, he enjoys seeing patients of all ages, and he also enjoys non-operative sports medicine and obstetric care.

Anesthesia

Dr.  David Gillenwater, D.O., is an anesthesiologist received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas as well as his Doctorate of Medicine.  He completed his Internal Medicine internship and Anesthesiology Residency at the Kansas University School of Medicine in Wichita, Kansas.  Dr. Gillenwater has received various awards throughout his career such as, Physician Recognition Award with Commendation for Self Directed Learning, Summerfield Scholar, Lambda Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies.  He is a member of Kansas Medical Society, Barton County Medical Society, American Board of Anesthesiology Diplomat, and the American Medical Association.

He completed his internship and residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2003.    Dr. Williams has special interests in the care of acutely-ill newborn Level II nursery, care of infants and children with chronic illnesses and disabilities as well as the care of adolescents.

Dr. Harimahefa Ratsimbason has previous experience working in Academic Pediatric hospital medicine for two years.  She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Andrews University in Michigan, and then received her M.D. from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California.  She completed her internship and pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in California.  Dr. Ratsimbason is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics since 2012 in general pediatrics.  She speaks three languages, English, Spanish, and French.  She is a native of Madagascar and is married with two boys.  In her spare time she enjoys traveling, especially going on road trips, listening to a wide variety of music, trying various international foods, outdoor activities, fitness classes, and most of all having endless conversations with her two very busy boys.  Dr. Ratsimbason believes in whole patient care, emphasizing the social and spiritual aspects of the patient and family, as well as their physical needs.  She strives to provide excellent and compassionate patient care and aspires to bring a smile to every child’s face.
